So I read "The Little House"...

It was actually recommended on MN - on a thread about an interfering MIL!

Quite enjoyed it as a quick page turner, wasn't expecting that ending. It was refreshing to read about the struggles of having a new baby, it's not something I've seen tackled in books before, although obviously this was not a straightforward case of PND.

I've ordered the DVD from the library too just to see if it's any good.

Anyone else read it? What did you think?

I liked it. TV version was mostly good but one or two things a bit annoying (like the way they changed the main character).

I saw the TV adaptation and thought the mil was awful.

Reading the book ATM and finding myself sympathetic to the mil and finding Ruth a hopeless drip!

I read it after a friend at word recommended it and liked it. Didn't see the end coming either.

I read it after a recommendation on here. Hated it - thought it was beyond ridiculous.

I thought this was going to be a thread about The Little House on the Praire! Haven't read the other one. (unhelpful comment)

Middle :o

I think I wouldn't have enjoyed it had I not read so many scary MIL threads! Shock
