Is that the one written by Mel off Des and Mel?
Or some such celeb - can't remember who

Gobbledigook · 29/08/2006 14:02

Oh God, is it?! Will have to go and look! I don't think so though!

No its not by her off of Des and Mel.

I've read it and enjoyed it, cant really remember much so definately one for a light read!!

I was left thinking actually I haven't got it so bad really!

Not written by a celeb - just a light, fluffy read. It is about a woman who has just given birth and feels insecure and frumpy (who doesn't ?!). She makes friends with a yummy mummy and overhauls herself with botox, yoga, designer clothes etc. Predictible ending but a nice bit of chick lit IMO.

I have jsut read this , quite enjoyed it, it is chick lit but was a bit more story to it IMO

nannyme · 11/10/2006 01:34

I am nearing the end of this (bought for me not by me) and finding it unbearably insubstantial, predictable and tedious.

Cliche anyone?

redbullbloodandbump · 11/10/2006 07:03

oh i loved it was really hooked!! just finished reading cents and sensibility by maggie alderson its brilliant

SherlockLGJ · 17/10/2006 20:37

God what a pile of crap, I was obliged to finish it in 2 days just to be sure.

It light and frothy but it was just chewing gum for the brain.

IdrisTheDragon · 17/10/2006 20:38

Very light read.

Had the occasional interesting moment but not a book I'll read again.

Janbo25 · 17/10/2006 20:39

I'm nearing the end of this book and think it is excellent so funny and really good light reading i'm hooked and can't wait for her next book out early next year!

Blondilocks · 17/10/2006 20:39

I thought it was quite good

hulababy · 17/10/2006 20:39

I am reading this at the moment. Bought it for about £3 from supermarket for light bedtime reading. It's okay - nothing earth shattering. Does it job though - gets me relaxed and cosy, ready for sleep, reading in bed
