Can anyone who's read it, or has it to hand and wouldn't mind looking it up, tell me what the glass droplet thing that if you pinched one end of, shattered? I can't remember & have passed my copy on. I want to refer to it as a symbol of a friendship, which, if it crossed a line, would be ruined. I know my friend has read the book. Please help, it's driving me mad!
