Loved A suitable Boy & equal music and just started Two Lives.

Have been reading far too much trash since dd was born so am v. proud of myself for starting this !

So far so good - just wondered if anyone else has read it and what you thought (but don't give anything away I have only jsut started !)

I also loved 'A Suitable Boy' and 'An Equal Music', but didn't get on so well with 'Two Lives'. I guess it was mainly because the style was so different. I started off OK but then got bogged down and different finish it. Mind you, I think it was the first book I tried to read after dd2 was born, so brain probably wasn't up to it!

I've got a couple of library books to finish, and then I'll be reading it. I'm looking forward to it. Let me know how you get on. Loved Equal Music, but I'm saving A Suitable Boy until either the kids leave home, or I have to spend a fortnight in an isolation ward somewhere. It's just so big! Did you read the sigle volume or the three books seperately?

I read A Suitable Boy in a single volume... but, I was commuting at the time so a 20-30 min train journey twice a day meant it wasn't so bad. Its quite satisfying to finish it (and its also a great book - one of my all time faves). Same with Gone with the wind... another epic !!

I LOVED The Golden Gate and An Equal Music. Two Lives was VERY different but still interesting enough to get to the end of.
