I've recently devoured the true blood books and really enjoyed them (I know it's trash but I love it!).

I've been looking for something similar to get stuck into and have seen these on t'internet. They are pricey and not for sale everywhere.

Shall I give them a go?

Cheers muchly x

YES! They're very trashy but fab. And there's loads of them so you can keep yourself entertained for a while. They're quite different to the True Blood novels (which I also love) but they are fun, sexy and page-turning.

I have heard a lot of good things about this series. Mainly from erotica fans - aparently the books are actually filthy but in quite a subtle way and lots of homoerotic stuff.

GinnelsandWhippets · 27/03/2014 22:00

Yes, they are quite filthy but not in a Black Lace sort of way. I loved them (but i have a fairly high tolerance threshold for rubbish if it is entertaining).

I really like these! I've read the first 5 and they're quick easy reads, but you get quite involved in the characters lives. I've laughed out loud and cried to these. Can't wait to read the others.

But they're not high literature!

Fantastic trash!! Loved them.

Perhaps a bit of a digression but I don't get why books are labelled trash just because they are not about white men obsessed with penis size and their midlife crises. I read masses and masses of books and a lot of what I have read that's labelled 'genre fiction' is really good stuff; plausible characters, an interesting outlook on the world, stuff to make you think that stays with you when you've finished the book...

Flopsy28 · 28/03/2014 17:55

Thanks all! They definitely sound like my kind of book. I love to get involved with characters and am often dad at the end if a book so I look for series.

I agree that 'trash' can be unfairly labelled solid.

Filth sounds fab Ginnels

Yes! They're great, if you can get over the weird spelling. book 12 has just come out too. hope Jr ward keeps writing them.

I have really enjoyed them, purely as its something different.
I don't care if some people regard them as trash.
I read what I enjoy. Sometimes its the booker prize winner, others some chick lit.
End of.

excellent, the author also has another series about angels
