I just finished The Shadow of the Wind and quite enjoyed it except for one thing. There was no reason for Nuria not to tell Daniel everything she knew about Carax when they met initially. He obviously wouldn't have cared about her little scam. Not telling him meant that he was going to keep looking and that was putting him in Fumero's way. Did I miss something else? Or am I just applying crime fiction logic to a romance?
