Exciting books

Can anyone recommend me some books with lots of excitement or drama. I need an adrenalin rush. I loved loved the Dragon Tattoo series. I started reading the Jack Reacher books but I've been on the first one for about 6 months and find it achingly dull. Doubt I'll bother with the other 16 books in that series

I read The Cuckoo's Calling by Robert Galbraith (J K Rowling) a couple of weeks ago. I thought it was really good - a page-turner.

Jo Nesbo's Harry Hole series. Although the murders get progressively more gruesome as the series progresses.
