Can I recommend Gift Of Rain? It's on that list too - although slight dearer than 99p - and it's wonderful.

The Ocean At The End Of The Lane - Neil Gaiman is 99p as well.

There seems to be a similar range on Barnes&noble if you have a nook not a kindle. Just bought the luminaries, and 4 others. Well chuffed!

Was hesitating over The Circle but, on the strength of Cherrypi's recommendation, I am going to splash out another whole 99p
