I've just finished The Cuckoo's Calling & I really enjoyed it. Not a great classic masterpiece of literature, but a good read.

Universe versus Alex Woods is very good, we read it for our book group, never heard of the others so can't help you there.

It's the poor writing that is sooo disappointing isn't it? Currently a flick of books along the line of made redundant, heads off to country, meets rude squire type, hates him, ends up in love with him.

I quite liked Alex Woods. It's a bit daft but quite good fun.
