Just found a small white maggoty looking thing eating holes into one of my books. The book in question has gone straight in the bin but I am now in a bit of a panic as I have a lot of books.
I have an afternoon of book inspection ahead.
Has anyone else had experience of these? Where do they come from and how can I make sure I don't get any more?
Feel a bit dirty Blush

Put said books in a plastic bag & then in the freezer for a few days?

In your place, I would also gas bomb that entire room but I hate all pests.

I have checked my other books and there are no more at the moment. I will keep checking and go for full on decontamination if I find any more.

I discovered it by noticing what looked like sand on my bookshelf which turned out to be little bits of paper. I took all the books of the shelf and dusted it a few weeks ago so I am worried that the book has been infected in my house within the last few weeks. I was originally trying to convince myself that it was in the book when I brought it as it is a fairly recent second hand purchase that I had not got round to reading.

Agree that it makes the kindle more appealing :)
