Lee Child or Linwood Barclay

Trying to broaden my literary (in a very loose sense of the word!) horizons and read some crime.

Someone lent me a LB book and then I heard a Radio 4 programme on LCD and his Jack Reacher books, they sounded quite good.

Since reading Gone Girl, I've wanted to read more crime/thrillers and less of my usual fare - Richard and Judy book club books, Kate Atkinson, Donna Tartt, Rose Tremain.

I do still love said writers though Smile

Both.

Linwood Barclay Is more crime mystery. Lee Child more adventure.
Both v easy enjoyable reading, I favour Linwood Barclay.

Very interesting, I didn't know Lee Child was adventure......

Actually, what is adventure?

I've not read Linwood Barclay but I love, love, love Lee Child's Jack Reacher books (a lot, in case you were wondering Smile). The Killing Floor is the first one, although each book can stand alone......

*Just off to put LB into Amazon......

Neither, imho. Sorry, not helpful. Have you tried Sarah Waters? Well written like your other choices, but with gripping stories, twists etc.

Did Sarah Waters write Tipping the Velvet set partly in Whitstable?

If so, I did enjoy this book, but does she write crime/thrillers/mysteries?
