OK so I'm several years out of date, and only just starting to read grown up books again, but have just finished 'Paula'. Had to go to pick up ds1 from school with eyes still red and puffy. Haven't cried so much since "Captain Corelli's Mandolin"!! Loved it, and just wanted to tell someone!

This is about Paula Yates, right? I saw this book in WHSmith a couple of weeks ago and it is on my wish list for when I have a bit more time and money! Glad to hear it is worth a read.

Sorry Tatties - different Paula. Still worth a read though.

Oops What was your book about then?

This book is fantastic - a real heartbreaker. It's written in the form of a letter to Allende's daughter, who was in a coma and then died. Absolutely superb.

I really enjoyed Paula, it is completely different style than her other books, mainly because its biagraphical. But very worth the real - I found it a lovely book to have read and felt very hounoured that she shared such intimate details of this period of her life with the readers
