For some reason I decided to re-read this, its so good! Its like a mini feminist epic through one womans life encompassing childhood, mental illness, working motherhood, infidelity..and more

anyway, I am big Fay Weldon fan and I think this is one of her best

Oh I haven't read it and I love Fay Weldon.

Although unfortunately I read She May Not Leave about an au pair that took over and when I was in the grip of PND I became paranoid that my life would turn into a Fay Weldon novel and sacked the au pair! Ludicrous but hey-ho! I laugh about it now with that au pair who is an excellent friend!

thats good (have read them all) but Praxis is an oldie but very goodie , same style but more epic in scale
