Due to our impeding move to aus I have a number of books - hard cover and paperback that I need to get rid of.

What do you think would be the best way to sell them - some have only been read once and are in perfect condition... others a little more loved but they range from good condition to excellent.

ANy suggestions? Was thinking about through amazon but not sure how secure that is?

You could start with www.ukparents.co.uk become a member (it's free, make a profile). Then click on Our Forums and you can post on the General noticeboard.

You could advertise in your local paper.

You could advertise on Buy and Sell at Mumsnet.

Don't know when you're going but you could sell them on www.amazon.co.uk

You could bootsale them.

You don't have Lucky by Alice Sebold do you?

x

Amazon is fine, quite secure. You actually get paid directly into your bank via Amazon so no collecting money required.

I've sold lots on Amazon without any trouble, but they take a commission, so I would try UKP or the mumsnet noticeboards first.

I've sold loads of books on amazon and got a good price for them - it's less faff than ebay.

thanks for your ideas - think I am going down the car boot/table top sale and then whatever is left I will donate to charity to sell.

Thanks again
