Jack Caffrey

And good old cheap beer drinking, football loving, curry eating Tom Thorne.

Who's your favourite? And if I like those two, what else might I enjoy?

Lord Peter Wimsey - is my favourite, no question. But I'm also partial to a bit of Rebus, Cadfael, Falco (I like Anton Lesser on radio).

On telly, I love Chief Superintendent Foyle. I like the way Michael Kitchen plays him and I love his uncompromising integrity - even though, sometimes, he is in danger of appearing a bit 'holier than thou'.

Jack Parlabane.
Wimsey
Miss Marple. Tommy and Tuppence.
Vimes
Dalgliesh. Cordelia.
Cornwell's Lucy, though I suspect she's an idealized version of Cornwell herself.
Cadfael.

Now just need the dinner party!
