The Secret

I have a colleague at work who has been raving about this book.
Has anyone read it? What are your thoughts on it?
From what she is saying, it all seems a bit obvious/common sense like.

Sorry to anyone who thought I had juicy secret to tell!

I got it out the library last year. Don't hold your breath. There is no secret. It's one of those you can become a millionaire, a sportstar popstar overnight if you only decide that's what you want and work towards it. So it's just a lot waffle designed to make the author rich. Which presumably it has. I thought it contained some sort of revelation as to how the universe worked. It didn't.

Ah, maybe if I believe there is a secret, one will appear in the book?

It might. But I'm still waiting to be a popstar or to meet a millionaire!

The secret is an introduction to the law of attraction and it really just teaches you the basics of how thinking positive can help you have the things you desire. I read this book about 4 years ago and it was the start of me and my life changing for the better.
