Children's Book Swap

FillyjonktheFluffy · 15/06/2006 20:55

Right, this is a thread for people who want to swap children's books.

For us, you understand, not the kids Wink

Bascially you choose a book you like, send it out to someone, they read it and send it on...

Who's interested?

(and I seem to have volunteered to set up not one but two book swaps tonight...how the hell did that happen?)

What age child is this aimed at? I would be interested but suspect dd is too young, looking at the list of suggested authors.

womblingalong · 19/06/2006 13:18

Me please? I have got a few already and am accumulating more. Silly question, but do we get the books back?

FrannyandZooey · 19/06/2006 18:32

WWB, I think the swap is for US to re-read old favourites and discuss them, not for our children :)

Wombling, if it works the same way as the other book swaps, you send them round in a circle until they eventually get back to you. However I wouldn't send anything treasured or precious as it is going to get a bit knackered en route I would imagine.

However this is Filly's swap so she may have other ideas.

I wonder if I am the only saddo to have 'lending copies' of some of my favourites, so I don't have to part with the originals Blush

womblingalong · 20/06/2006 10:05

Thanks Franny,

I don't really have second copies of books to lend out, but I often buy the same book twice, because I've forgotten I had it already - durr!

I also seemed to have killed all three threads about childrens books stone dead - oops! Hope the swaps happen, anyway, cos it sounds fun.
