Ok I've just finished watching the third series and cannot wait another year for the forth.
Which book do I need to purchase to keep me up to date or shall I start all from the beginning ? Thanks

I think season 3 was halfway/ 2/3rds of the 3rd book.

Don't entirely trust me on that. I haven't watched the show and have only just started the books.

Just googled. I am right.

I'd start at the beginning, as the third book doesn't in my recollection end exactly where the series did. The first book has been adapted pretty well but the series seems to be going off of the books a bit more. I just hope the author finishes the books before HBO catch up with him or he pops his clogs.

Thank you. Prawn I never knew the author hadn't even finished the books! Am I correct in thinking there are 7 books out at the moment ?

Five at the moment, there will be seven eventually I think.

There are 5 books so far but the 3rd & 5th were split in two as were quite long! They've mixed up the order of what happens in the TV series as "the wedding" doesn't happen until the 2nd half of book 3.

I would recommend starting from the beginning as there's a lot of cool stuff that they've obviously had to skip length on TV and they're a lot more involved. The only disadvantage is that all the shocking moments during the series lose their impact when you watch - there were a lot of WTAF moments when I read the books though! :)

Start from the beginning. There is so much they have changed and left out. Especially about the lovely wolfies Grin

Also it all starts to get a bit confusing time-line wise as bits overlap from book to book so well worth just starting from the beginning.

Definitely start at the beginning. There's so much more to the books than what you've seen on the tv series.
