The Times today was raving about the film adaptation which is due out next week with Dan Stevens and Dominic Cooper . Wondered if anyone would recommend reading it or staying clear of it.

I saw the film last week ( Telegraph subscriber preview) It was great, moving, exhilarating landscape, sad, happy and moved at a pace.

DH an I thought there could have been any number of endings, and made up several of or own on the way home, but there is only one, the true story one. If that makes sense!

I've read it. I really enjoyed it. Not very jolly though! I'd recommend it.
Especially good if you know a bit about the artists - but you can easily google them as you go along. I think There's a Dame Laura Knight exhibition on at the portrait gallery in June.

I have read it. Enjoyed it. Very well written. Very sad. Not sure if I will see the film now although think the casting of actors is probably very good.
