Not exactly high art but it's entertaining and on my Samsung so unless anyone looks directly at the screen no one on the tube knows my literary shame.

'Gone girl' on Kindle, easy read supermarket thriller

'Harden Up' Felix Economakers about resilience, quite interesting.

Just read 'Big Brother' Lionel Shriver excellent-- themes are obesity and success/meaning of life. Totally recommend esp for anyone with eating issues.

Also 'The Rosie Project' was fun, Sheldonesque prof trying to find the ideal partner, v well written.

so far so good, but only about 50 pages in.

I don't do fantasy, but I love this! Best think I've read in ages, keep sneaking away from the kids for a quick fix.

Tripwire (3rd Jack Reacher book). Love it I am on a mission to read them all.

Old Filth by Jane Gardam. very amusing.

'The Island' by Victoria Hislop.

My friend suggested doing a 'book club for two' and said she's been dying to read this for ages.

In all honesty...I'm really struggling to enjoy it. I'll stick with it though

Ooh Finished 100 yr old man a few weeks ago and really enjoyed. Currently reading 'the cupid effect' by Dorothy Komson. Very lightweight but needed after Marie Stopes' biography.

Cakes and Ale by Somerset Maugham. Only just started it. Really enjoyed The Painted Veil recently so thought I would try some more of his stuff. Also have Razor's Edge on my to-read pile.

Just finished Oryx and Crake. Think I'm going to have to read The Year of the Flood soon. It's the first Margaret Atwood science fiction I've read.

A book about the Antarctic, which is rather too political/scientific for me tbh

Some Orwell essays (The Decline of the English Murder)

Re-reading, 'Breakfast At Tiffany's'

Kipling's, 'Kim' which I'm not getting on terribly well with

I am between books :( Just finished The Time Traveller's Wife

I enjoyed the start of 100 year old man but got bored around 2/3 into it.

Joyland by Stephen King for the commute. I love his books, always so readable.

Big Brother by Lionel Shriver for home. I find her a bit hit and miss sometimes but I love this one already.

The Snowman by Jo Nesbo. The first of his I've read and I'm really enjoying

it so far.

The unknown bridesmaid. It's absolutely compelling and I'm at 93% on the kindle and dreading it being finished .

The Beetle by Richard Marsh. He was a contemporary of Bram Stoker.

Fortune's Rocks by Anita Shreve.
First one I've read by her. Really enjoying it.

I thought 'Joyland' wasn't out for a few more days?
