Well more the TV mini series (which I have just finished watching) than the book really. What a dreadful adaptation. Every character who is meant to be dark is fair and all the fair-haired ones are dark. Danus has a war wound, not suspected epilepsy and doesn't look a bit like Richard. Only Vanessa Redgrave seems to be able to act and she looks a bit embarrassed to be there. Surely they could have done better than that? Did anyone else see it?
Such a lovely comfort-read book, but oh dear....

I've read the book (a favourite comfort read) and would have watched this if I'd known (although it sounds as though I didn't miss anything). Where was it broadcast?

Glad I didn't see the tv adaptation, it really makes me cross when they get it 'wrong'. In fact, I hardly ever watch films for that reason.
