Just finished The Casual Vacancy and [spoiler alert]

I wish my 3yo DS was awake so I could hold him close in my bed all night.

HORRIBLE ending. Wasn't expecting that at all :(

I usually feel frustrated when novels leave too many loose ends... but I ended up feeling like JKR tied up too many IYSWIM.

Should've been in bed ages ago. Think I'll try and read something more cheerful next

I read it a few months ago. It was good, but so bleak. DS was 3 at the time, and it upset me a lot too.

I've just finished The Light Between Oceans by M L Stedman. Whatever you do, don't read this one yet :( It made me cry several times.
