Cuddly Book?

I'm feeling a tiny bit low and am looking for a warm cuddle of a book.

Ideally not very long and not focusing on mother-daughter-sister relationships!

Having said that I loved I Capture the Castle. Maybe something on those lines?

When I feel a bit low I like to read Katie Fforde's novels. Comforting, and guaranteed to cheer me up again :)

Last chance saloon by Marian Keyes is my 'read when down' book of choice.

Thanks! I'll see if my local library has either of those Smile

I enjoy Alexamder Mcall Smiths The no 1 Ladies Detective Agency series for this kind of read. They are nice gentle books and easy to read.

Yes to Number One Ladies' Detective Agency (but do read in order).

Miss Pettigrew Lives For A Day - funny, quite forward thinking for its time and lovely

Ballet Shoes or other childhood classics, but Ballet Shoes is sisters

Jane Austen - go for Emma to avoid sisters!

Maybe one of the Miss Marple Agatha Christies? Or a Bill Bryson? Both very comforting and wholesome.
