I need to read a book to review it for the post course module of my doula training.

I want to read something that is either going to really make me think, shock me or move me.

Any ideas?

I think I have read most of the run of the mill books on the shelves and want something a bit different.

Considering - Caesarian - Michael Odent
Birth without violence/fear - Frederick Laboyer

Anyone read either of these?

I read Caesarean when I was trying to decide on whether to have an elective cesarean. Found it really interesting and thought provoking.

Have you read Misconception by Naomi Wolf? It's mostly based on the American experience of birth and pregnancy but it's very good. Really made me appreciate being in England!

Baby Wisdom by Deborah Jackson. Priceless. Highly recommended.

'Birth Reborn' by Michael Odent. Lovely book. I read and re-read it when pregnant 2nd and 3rd times.
