At our book group we always drink wine - so maybe taking a bottle of wine or nice soft drink would be good. (mind you as I started up the book group the drinking of wine was likely, maybe your friends are differentGrin!) If it is the first meeting do you have a book to discuss this time, or are you setting it up? If you have a book to discuss tonight, take a copy of it with you, can be useful for checking details. If tonight you are deciding your first book, maybe have a think as to what you would like to suggest. In our group we take it in turns to suggest a book, and then whoever suggests the book leads the discussion. Could look in the papers for recently published books, or on the book gp threads here for ideas. The thing I always forget to take and is really useful is my diary, to aid in planning the next meeting.

Hope you enjoy yourself. I really enjoy ours. If you have any other queries please ask. Smile

Hi,
I was at our second meeting last night, there are 7 of us. The person who chooses the book invites us to a simple supper at their house 6 weeks later which is nice, Supper, few drinks and a lengthy discussion. We have just read a Short History of Tractors in Ukrainian, brilliant!
