Peter May's crime series set in the Hebrides is good. The Blackhouse is the first one.

Also CJ Sansom's Shardlake series - a Tudor lawyer investigating crime mysteries.

Quite different, but Winter in Madrid by the same author was 20p on Amazon recently. Spanish civil war drama which I also enjoyed.

We Have Always Lived in the Castle - Shirley Jackson
The Woman in Black - Susan Hill
Into the Darkest Corner - Elizabeth Haynes
Middlesex or The Virgin Suicides - Jeffrey Eugenides

You may have already read them, they're just the ones I've read recently and enjoyed!

If you go onto Amazon and put in the title of your book, you can see what other people bought as well as that book. If that makes any sense, it's good for getting more ideas.
