Need some inspiration for books for DS (4.5)
We have tons of picture books - pipkin of pepper, charlie/lola books etc etc but I think he's ready for some chapter books. We have Flat Stanley and Clever Polly and the Stupid Wolf - anyone recommend any others that he might like. THe odd picture wouldn't go amiss!

The first chapter books I read to ds were:
101 Dalmatians (Dodie Smith)
The House That Sailed Away (Pat Hutchins)
Charlie and The Chocolate Factory (Roald Dahl)
We also had lots of free books from Shreddies which he enjoyed (like Mr Majeika).

thanks cupcakes. The house that sailed away looks good. We have the other two.
Might try Mrs Pepperpot too - I seem to remember enjoying those when I was young (although can't remmeber what age I was)

DD (just 4) loves My Naughty Little Sister and Naughty Amelia Jane stories.
