Disordered Minds by Minette Walters - am I being libellous by suggesting this was a pile of poo?

...Because it was the biggest waste of my time Sad

Poorly constructed, incredibly confusing (masquerading as "complex"), one-dimensional characters (varying from professor to supposedly "dim" people yet they all spoke the same way with clumsy sentence structure), completely unbelievable academic book extract and police interviews, and totally ridiculous "twist" at the end ... I could go on but I won't.

Can't believe I read it all really!!!

hmmm I thought it was a bit mediocre, but not as bad as all that. I really wasn't very keen on Fox Evil or Tinder Box. Thought her earlier ones were much better.

It was the first one of hers I have ever read IJ, and tbh I won't be picking up another in a hurry!

Do you remember which of her earlier ones you enjoyed? Perhaps I should give her another chance (but not soon Wink)

I think the Sculptress is the best.

Oooh is that the one that was on telly with Pauline Quirke in it? I remember that.

ive read a couple of her books and must admit, i found myself thinking "what a waste of time" afterwards. the only one i found slightly interesting was 'Disordered Minds'. I find her whole 'behind the scenes, police interviews, transcript blah blah blah stuff' confusing.

see, if you read danielle steele you'd never be disappointed.. it's always down trodden business woman turns mum, and wants more from life other than car pools and PTA meetings...never fails to deliver, just set in different states of the USA!
