Chocolate Girls by Annie Murray

I have just got this on Kindle for £1 and wanted to recommend it. Its a lovely "comfort read" type book. I bought it yesterday finished it today and felt really sorry to finish it.

I was so disappointed to finish this book and found out there is a sequel to it The Bells of Bournville Green. It is more expensive than Chocolate Girls but have indulged as I enjoyed Chocolate Girls so much. £4.65 on Kindle

If you're into physical books, people like The Book People usually do sets of Annie Murray books. Not all of hers are "comfort read" types - I found The Narrowboat Girl particularly shocking.
