Any one read "Anywhere but Here" by Jenny Gardiner? Red Flags aplenty!

It just seems to me that she exchange Dick for another controlling man. She wanted to break free from being told what to do, but Smoothie bought her clothes, died her hair without telling her what he was doing, pushed her into piercings and a tatoo she didnt want and then told her he loved her and proposed within a week of meeting her!

Is it supposed to be a romantic ending and I missed it or is it supposed to be a look at how she has gone from one abusive relationship into another?

I posted this way back and no one replied! I have just re read it and I do think that Smoothie is just a different type of abusive. He admitted cheating on his wife too!

Am I the only person in the world who has read this book?! :o
