Just wanted to say thank you to those of you who rec'd this - I read it at the weekend and really enjoyed it!

For anybody who hasn't read it - it's the story of a world Zombie invasion, through first hand accounts around the world.

Does anyone know if the film is due for release any time soon? Brad Pitt is playing Max and it did look good when I saw an article about the making of it recently. I usually always except LOTR prefer the book to the film, but if this one lives up to its promises it might be the exception.

There is a free podcast which is extracts of the book with actors reading the parts, it's really good. I read that they are currently casting for the full audio book so I'm going to wait for that instead of reading the book.

Pombear, I think the release date of the film has been put back to next year. DH was an extra so has been following its progress closely.

Are you the real Kiki Dee btw?because if you are, you went to school with my Dad Grin

I read this when on a big zombie/dystopia theme. It was very good despite not really being a novel nor really having a plot. Can't wait to see the film interpretation of it.

Pombear, I'm a cheap imitation of the real thing I'm afraid!

Ullena · 07/09/2012 22:30

Liked this book a lot. Am looking forward to film, as is DH.

I'm reading this now. Although Im enjoying it, I do like a character I can engage with so am finding the constant change of persepctive a bit annoying.

Its the first zombie book ive read. Can anyone recomend an absolute must have in this genre please ??

Francagoestohollywood · 12/09/2012 15:32

Exactly what crikeybill said. I found the change of perspectives a bit disorienting too.

Crikey, can I recommend the Walking Dead books (comics)

Francagoestohollywood · 12/09/2012 15:33

I have heard they are re filming some scenes as the screen tests didn't go well.

MrsBitchArseUsedToBeBran · 12/09/2012 15:46

Crikeybill, I like the Zombie Fallout books by Mark Tufo. The family in it are very personable.
