I am about 100 pages in and really enjoying it...she wrrote Cuckoo.

A British family move to NY state for the summer so dad, a failing actor, can play in a summer theatre. Mum reaquaints herself with a family friend where there is obviously some history.......
Lots of suspense .

I don't want to put you off as it is very gripping, but it is just gets worse. I mean: I was gripped throughout, but it left a bad taste in my mouth, and I wouldn't recommend it. Though maybe it's just me!

Just finished it.
Totally agree with you. So disappointed.

I worked out half way what was going on.
Ridiculous ending.

Pah. Another one for the charity shop.

I nearly picked that one up in the supermarket this week. Glad I didn't now. I hate disappointing books.

I'm just about to start Finders Keepers by Belinda Bauer. If it's as good as her previous two novels then it won't be a disappointment. She writes good thrillers set on Exmoor. Blacklands, her first was chilling.

Sorry you ended up disappointed too!

Duchess, thanks for the recommendation.

I can recommend Jane Casey if you want an easy but interesting crime read.
