If DH likes John Grisham and Ben Elton, what else would he like to read?

DH is running out of books to read. He has read all of the John Grisham books and almost all of the Ben Elton ones too.

He has never really been 'into' reading, but he is getting to enjoy it more and now wants some more to read. Can anyone suggest something?

Lee child - Jack Reacher character.
He has been writing them for years do there's a nice back catalog to get into.
I also like Michael Connelly whose character is a maverick sort of LA cop.
Ian Rankin but he may have watched Rebus On TV which would ruin things somewhat. His new character Malcolm Fox is good too.
I also quite like Dick Francis! But all based on horses so dip in and out.

Watching with interest as DH likes them too. He also likes Stephen King & Thomas Harris but has read most by them as well

Mark Gimenez, Phillip Margolin, Richard North Patterson, Scott Turow and Steve Martini all write legal thrillers in the Grisham vein.

Jack Kerley, Robert Crais, Elmore Leonard, Michael Harvey, Vince Flynn and Jonathan Kellerman (I much prefer the early ones over the more recent) are also possibilities for thriller writers.

To the Hilt is a good Dick francis one that doesn't actually have all that much about horses in it. His all stand alone, so it doesn't matter what order you read them in either.
John Connolly's "Charlie Parker" series are supernatural thrillers and are very good, and pretty scary in places too.

Agree Scott Turow similar to Grisham. Try also David Baldacci.
For humour Carl Hiaasen - Sick puppy being a good first one.
