I read Midwives, but am ploughing through The Night Strangers from the library.
I will probably finish it tonight.

Traumatised family move to New Hampshire village. Guess what , lots of "herbalists" there called Clary and Reseda. Oh and dead people popping up.

It's actually well written, but a really crap storyline.

Hmm. I tried one about a cyclist who finds some old photographs. It sounded really good as Bohjalian had written the Buchanan family from Gatsby into it. But in the end I got really frustrated. It was one of those 'nothing is as it seems' books which always feel like a waste of time. Like you said, well written but not so hot on plot. I can't remember what it was called.

I read Midwives. A friend gave it to me as a birthday present when I was pregnant - bizarrely, given that it's about a woman who dies in childbirth.
