I just finished reading "Secret Diary of a Demented Housewife" by Niamh Greene and as a mum of two could really identify with the main character.

I'm looking for similar (chic lit) books dealing with motherhood. Any recommendations?

Not chick lit, but not a difficult read - try Night Waking by Sarah Moss.

outtolunch - Pile of Stuff at the bottom of the stairs - Christina Hopkinson. I read it, but thought it could have been better. How about The Playdate by Louise Millar? That was good.

What She Wants by Cathy Kelly. I love all her early stuff - after Past Secrets, and including it, she completely changed her style, it was as if she got someone else to write them and she just put her name on :( but anything she wrote before that is brilliant Grin

I read confessions of a demented housewife in the garden whislt the dcs played when it was sunny. My neighbour thought it was a very apt title. I also enjoy cathy Kelly so I second Pom.
