Hi there

\link{http://www.booksforchildren.co.uk/visit/?bcat=11035 \here} is where I used to get a lot of books for my kids. It's a book club and has some very good offers

Also I'll be a Usborne book organiser soon Grin \link{http://www.usbornebooksathome.co.uk/catalogue/browse.asp?css=1\description}

I mainly joined with them to get discounted books, but also planning on getting some friends/family/whoever I can get my clawsin etc to buy from me instead somewhere else to sponsor dd's ballet & other activities :) You could do the same and mention my name (not MrsBigD obviously) when joining :)Grin

\link{www.booksforchildren.co.uk\next try for bfc see if this works}

problem with booksforchildren is you have to commit to buying one book a month for 12 months. I really would steer clear. I would go for the Bookpeople - not sure what web addy is though!

The book people have the best deals.

bfc ties you in (minimum 6 books to purchase)

MrsBigD · 09/03/2006 08:03

oh yes forgot about that with bfc... wasn't a problem for me as I wanted lots of books :)

the book people are brilliant - lots of bundles of books which work out £1 or £2 per book and you dont have to commit to buying more. good for adults aswell. think they are www.thebookpeople.co.uk but google will tell you.

bol.com also good, but i think you do have to buy 1 more book within the next year

the book people are \link{http://www.thebookpeople.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/StoreCatalogDisplay?storeId=10001&catalogId=10001&langId=100\here} also there is \link{http://www.redhouse.co.uk/OrderMech/search.exe/dosearch?SType=4&CID=1&Layout=87&MenuID=passion&MenuLayout=526&templatefile=home\red house} which I think may be a related company as there is a link from the book people to them.

Fab idea for party bags (well, mainly because we did it for ds1's 4th birthday Blush). We ordered from the Book People but had to cancel as they failed to deliver on time...We bought Mr Men books from a local book outlet - you know, one of the ones which sell discount books, can't remember the name - always have Mr Men on offer - they worked out at £1 each.
