Are any of the '50 Shades' bandwaggon books actually readable?

I lasted till page 3 of 50 Shades (thank goodness for Kindle Sample Chapters), couldn't take the appalling writing style.

Are there any that are reasonably well written (not including Story of O, or anything by Fiona Locke)

I lasted around 4 characters of this post because I couldn't take the appalling writing style.

Are there any posts here that are reasonably written?

Apart from your own of course?

What's wrong with purple's writing style?

An entirely reasonable question considering how shit Fifty Shades is.

Do you want erotica? or BDSM stories (admittedly they do tend to be erotica) or love stories, racy romance, ordinary lovely-dovey not so erotic rude romance? Paranormal romance? There are thousands of them out there Grin

I actually got to chapter 6 or 7 of fifty shades before giving up. I had got that far because I kept telling myself there must be a reason for everyone to keep raving about these books. I just thought the main character was a knob who takes advantage of young virgins and couldn't read anymore.

A friend of mine told me I should carry on as it gets better after chapter 8 but I'm not sure I can put up with the repetitive descriptive phrases and the constant mention of his long fingers Hmm, really don't know the reason for that.

I also read teen paranormal romance stuff but this writing was just not very good.

I've bought 'Bared to You' by Syliva Day for some holiday reading.

It's part of a trilogy apparently, but I made the mistake of buying all 3 of the 50 Shades of Shite before reading any of them, I won't be doing that again.

I read them all, cover to cover, without pausing for breath. The first one was pretty shite in terms of writing quality, the second better, the third even better. I still couldn't put them down though!
