The Thirteenth Tale

By Diane Setterfield.

I've just finished this and got completely engrossed in the story. Couldn't put it down. I don't want to give away any of the plot, but if you are a fan of Daphne Du Maurier style stories, or love a mystery or a tangled tale of family secrets, you will love this book.

Brill isn't it! Has she written anything else do you know?

I looked on Amazon freelancescientist, and apparently her second novel is coming out later this year - no clue as to the storyline or the title yet. Can't wait to read it Smile

Crikey that has taken her a while, hope it is worth the wait.

Yes it does seem to be taking her a long time, - what on earth has she been doing? Grin If I like a writer, I need them to produce a book once a year, not keep me hanging around for five years, - thank goodness I didn't read it when it first came out, I'd be seriously running out of patience!

Nice to see another fan Sinister Smile - I haven't read the Blind Assassin, so I'll give that a try.

I read this for my book club a couple of years ago - I think it was a really good story but badly written. HAd someone like DDM written it, it would've been ace!
