Am tempted to try this series out but is it really for teenies?

My DD reads them (I think!) She's 14.

I've read the first four (I think!) - they're mostly for teens unless you are an adult who rates teen lit as perfectly good lit for adults too. They're not the best in YA lit but they do raise some interesting characters and situations: how to create a society and economy in the absence of any rules (or food!). I would borrow them from a library rather than buy them though.

I liked it, not brilliantly written but the premise is interesting and I'm looking forward to book 6.

I read them all and enjoyed them for what they were, teen fiction - but I'll read all sorts from John Irving to Haruki Murakami, The Hunger Games and even Mr Grey.

I've only read the first (ages ago) and have the second on my to read pile. I really enjoyed the first, and it is the first book in absolutely ages that dd2 has deigned to read - she really liked it.

Ok, I think I'll give them a go. Thx
