I'm very new to reading 'fiction'. I was succumb by 50 Shades of Grey and enjoyed it, though a lot of people on here have got different views. I'm not sure if I'll purchase any books in that genre again but am interested in love stories. Any suggestions? :)

Georgette Heyer books. Romances set in the Regency period. Definitely no sex Grin but lots of witty flirting, obstacles in true loves course etc etc and the couple always get together at the end Smile

I like Katie Fforde's novels. Witty, bit of sex but nothing weird :o and a happy ending.

I've always enjoyed Marian Keyes books

I second Georgette Heyer - The Grand Sophy is one of my favourites of hers,

A classic love story would be Pride and prejudice by Jane Austen, and a lot of Thomas Hardy's novels are love stories - Tess of The D'Urbervilles, The Woodlanders, Far From The Madding Crowd, Under The Greenwood Tree, - I love all of those.

Rebecca by Daphne Du Maurier is a love story and a great mystery story too, My Cousin Rachel is another of hers I'd recommend - also a love story.

Jane Eyre and Wuthering Heights by the Bronte sisters - both great classics and extremely romantic!
