I have just finished this book, and although I thoroughly enjoyed it, I am left perplexed about one detail...

Who was the mould guy???? And what was he all about?? I was convinced he was some crucial part of the plot!!

Or is it just me, getting confused after all the red herrings in the book?

He was the random bloke that Harry Hole let into his aprtment to rip the walls down because there was 'invisible mould' there.

Yes, was sure the mould guy was going to be integral to the plot. But I have another question about the ending, so...

......SPOILER ALERT.......

How did he manage to build such a huge snowman in the room with only one tiny window? How the scandanavian Jeff did that snowman get in there?

I hadnt thought about that Merrylegs, but you thought Rakel would have noticed her staircase was a bit soggy from someone dragging a load of snow up there

Argh! It's ages since I've read this, I'll have to re-read it!

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 02/07/2012 19:42

Glad it wasn't just me who thought the mould guy was actually there for a reason. I thought that the whole book was a load of rubbish.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 02/07/2012 19:43

A reason which I, in my stupidity, had failed to fathom...

Nope - it's just that the book was rubbish.

......SPOILER ALERT.......

I agree... the giant snowman was so far fetch... put me off. Pah!

KurriKurri · 03/07/2012 14:56

Ages since I read this - I sort of enjoyed it - but not enough to read anthing else by him, but agree wtf was mould man all about?

tartyflette · 05/07/2012 00:34

I thought the translation was poor clumsy, clunky and just plain wrong in places it really came between me and the plot and hence I didn't enjoy the book at all. However, I saw the film Headhunters (with subtitles) and thought it was a really classy thriller.
