I loved this book so much. A colleague who is into sci-fi (I say it's a love story, actually, but still...) says it's full of sci-fi holes.
I don't care about that but what I want to know is...

When he dies, I get it that he has travelled back to when Clare was 13 and he gets shot - then travels back to being 43 to die, but WHY when it's "explained" towards the end of the book, is he looking at the place where he was shot etc? Did he travel there twice? Or what's going on?
Anyone understand it better than me? MI I know you have read this and are very clever so maybe you can help.
