I found her by accident and love everything I have read. Run out now, there are only four and one is out of print. Done linwood barclay and harlan coben. Cant stand patterson. Anyone?

There's a book by Anne Rice called Cry to Heaven that's a historic one set in Italy. I really enjoyed it, the plot has loads of intrigue and twists and turns - it's not supernatural like her other stuff, but was ever so good.
