The Life of Pi has quite a twist at the end.

You own it and haven't read it?!!
The first part in the zoo is rather strange, but it's worth persevering to get into the story proper. An excellent read! I plan to read it again.

Fingersmith by Sarah Waters has a good twist about half way through as I recall.
