anyone been to a Fforde fiesta?

I quite fancy going to the next one, probably on my own as no one I know likes Jasper Fforde as much as I do.

Is it any good? Will I still have fun on my own? Any advice welcome!

Never heard of it. Dh & I love Jasper fforde though.

I've been and it's great fun. There are quite a few people who come on their own but everyone is made to feel welcome and encouraged to join in even young children seem to enjoy themselves, one little girl was playing croquet, the mallet was much larger than she was. Jasper takes it all in his stride, he is very approachable, even his wife Mari joined the Legion of the Danvers this year. The next one is 24-25 August 2013. Fforde Ffiesta will give you a good idea of what goes on. I hope this helps and you won't run screaming
