I think I might have to lie in wait outside the bookshop Grin

I'm sending the husband to get the first spot,

when's it out?

oooooo very exciting.

What??? When is this? Not sure am delighted when I think about it, Ian Rankin will prob only stop writing about him if he kills him off and I couldn't cope with that!

Does anyone else put what ever music he mention in the book on whilst reading?

Saltire · 13/06/2012 07:32

It's due out in November

nevertooearly - he's back to help out with the cold case crimes, and apparently is going to be working with the new character that Rankin has introduced in the latest books he's written(Malcolm Fox)).

Yeah!

Must get on and read that Malcolm Fox book I got for Christmas ...

But sadly there is no comeback for Wallander. Sad

Oh, should ring the husband and mention that, or leave him there just to be on the safe side.

Glad I'm not the only one counting down the days! I think "Complaints" is one of my favourite Ian Rankin books. Can't wait for this one.

MrsSawyer · 23/06/2012 13:42

i love ian rankin and rebus! what do you read when youve read all the rebus books? wht other things are similar?

BabeRuthless · 23/06/2012 20:57

I really like Jo Nesbo. His books are a lot more violent but are similar to Ian Rankins in that they're really densely plotted. A lot of crime fiction seems really lightweight compared to Rebus. I haven't read any yet, but I've heard Mark Billingham is really good.
