just thought i'd share....
I used to LOVE reading....devoured all sorts of books...then came grown up life, work, 6 children, exhaustion etc...and I hadnt read for years...
Then, reluctantyly, downloaded kindle app to my phone , having tutted at DS love of kindle ("it's just not the same as a proper book"!)
and now I'm converted!

in past couple of months I've read:
Room (absolutely loved this)
Before I go to Sleep
The fifth Child
A Golden Age(kindle daily deal )
Partitions(kindle daily deal)

all of which I loved

also half of
Night wakings(got bored!)
Me before You (didnt like at all)

Now reading The Particular Sadness of Lemon Cake which I am enjoying

have on my wish list...
When God Was a Rabbit
Little Face
Water for Elephants
Ben in the world
The good Muslim

also have waiting from kindle daily deals(not sure about but worth a try for99p)
When I lived in modern times
The Misremembered Man
The Playdate

So...just in case I haven't got enough lined up already...anyone with similar tastes want to recomend me a few more!Grin

Can't offer you much help as I loathed Before I Go to Sleep and When God was a Rabbit and adored Me Before You.

If you fancy a detective August Heat is currently 99p and is very good.

Have you read anything by Sharon Penman? her historical fiction is very good - my favourite is "Here be Dragons".
