John Fowles The Magus - worth re reading?

I remember when I was a teenager and a pretentious boy friend told me to read it. I did but, I didnt really get it. I still have the copy. Is it worth reading in my forties?

I enjoyed it in my thirties and you've reminded me I wouldn't mind reading it again.

Still, it did start my love affair with the Greek Islands....

Im going on holiday soon. I think I will. Im not one to read a book more than once but, I think, many years have passed and I might appreciate it now.

I read it recently and hated it. I thought it was a load of pretentious dross (and boring). But you should reread it and then come back here to discuss it :D
