Read this first.

No, I didn't write it, although I wish I had!

I was going to spend £3 on a special-offer copy.

Wow, thanks for saving me the £3! It seems awful, possibly even worse than Twilight!

blueberryboybait · 29/05/2012 20:23

50 Shades of total and utter crap!

:o thanks for exposing the book, everyone has been raving about it. Saved me some money

ashesgirl · 29/05/2012 20:44

It is a bloody awful book. But worth reading so you know what everyone's going on about.

Incaminka · 29/05/2012 20:52

I thought it was quite entertaining, but the sex bits got a bit tedious after a while. Also the adulation of Christian made me want to slap Ana and the author, and myself as a lovestruck teenager cos I was then.... Blush

I googled sandstone desk because it sounded pretty unlikely and this is all there was! Grin

BigBoPeep · 01/06/2012 10:58

between 2 and 4% of the world's population are naturally blonde? really? I feel so SPECIAL now! Grin

thanks for that little boost!

Trills · 01/06/2012 10:59

I love Adventures in Trash :)

TheFoosa · 01/06/2012 11:54

that's actually much more entertaining than the book

IAmRubyLennox · 01/06/2012 22:32

I started this today and after 15 minutes in the park and one frappucino I deleted it off the Kindle. Unadulterated bobbins.

pictish · 01/06/2012 22:34

I'm near the end of the third book.
Hilariously bad....all of it. Grin

Iwillorderthefood · 01/06/2012 22:35

I love the word bobbins

thisisyesterday · 01/06/2012 22:45

oh so now i want to read it just so i can say how much i hate it to all my friends who are raving about it

i feel i cannot do so unless i have actually read it.

however, i am still not quite over the fact that i wasted 2 hours of my life watching a twilight film. so maybe not

BCBG · 01/06/2012 22:52

It's shit. Cleverly marketed , but still shit.

PixieX · 14/06/2012 13:54

Hahahaha - I loved this parody - and Im actually in the midst of reading the hard-copy, paid for, trilogy of Shades books now! Oh my!

It is true that you can actually be bright (well I hope I am a bit and have a law degree so I can ready quite hard stuff), laugh at these books (hence the comment above) and enjoy the whimsical, erotic nature of the sometimes imature writing without getting so annoyed that you start using bright red smileys that aren't smiling.

Mind you - Im totally niaive when it comes to erotic literature and SO late to this party that is embarrassing (any recommendations greatfully received at this point) - but I am enjoying the books, what can I say.

Haven't read the book and have no intention of doing so, but Wow! What a great blog!

sieglinde · 14/08/2012 10:09

Anyone still baffled about the fanfic origins of this dreadful book could read this:

www.guardian.co.uk/books/2012/aug/13/fan-fiction-fifty-shades-grey

The especially good bit is the original cover of Master of the Universe. Actually, the word 'original' doesn't belong in that sentence. 'derivative to the point of gangrene' might be more apposite. Grin
