I'm trying to find the title of a book I read years ago...

I got the impression it was quite a 'dark' book,Russian,man with big coat,collecting mushrooms,pickling mushrooms,mushrooms.....
Hope somebody can help.

No no. It's a real book.

But I'd hate for you to think I'm talking from experience- I Googled it (I didn't even check the publication date)

Shodan I'm so sorry. You are right. I've just seen the publication date and that explains,to me,why I didn't remember the book very well. My DD1 was born in 1991 and DD2 in 93,so I missed any telly as well!
